Telkomsigma Berhasil Tekan Emisi hingga 71%, Pertegas Komitmen Kelola Lingkungan Bersama Pemkot Tangsel

South Tangerang - As part of the company’s commitment in implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and maintaining Occupational Health, Safety, and Security (K3), Telkomsigma participated in an event to raise awareness about emissions inventory, which was held by the Ministry of Environment / Environmental Management Agency (KLH/BPLH) of the Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with the South Tangerang City Government on Tuesday (21/7/2026). At the event, Telkomsigma was represented by Hendra Adiguna, a member of the company’s HSE team.

This event was based on Ministry of Environment Regulations No. 5 of 2026 on Air Quality Protection and Management Planning. This step serves as a crucial stepping stone for industry actors and government agencies in the South Tangerang region to collaborate in controlling air pollution and achieving cleaner air.

In a presentation delivered by M. Denny T. Silaban, it was explained that an emissions inventory is the process of collecting, recording, and analyzing data related to emission sources in order to measure the emissions load. This process serves as the basis for formulating strategies and policies for sustainable air quality management, assessing air quality conditions, and evaluating the effectiveness of air pollution control programs.

Telkomsigma’s involvement in this event is not merely a compliance measure but also the company’s effort to contribute to the environment. The company’s participation further highlights its track record in environmental management.

These concrete efforts are proven by Telkomsigma’s internal HSE data, which shows a consistent decrease in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions over three consecutive years (2023-2025). From 9,994,10 metric tons of CO2 in 2023, emissions were successfully reduced to 2.868,83 metric tons of CO2 in 2025, a significant decrease of approximately 71%. These achievements are the result of various operational efficiency initiatives that proved Telkomsigma’s positive contribution to supporting the Telkom Group’s sustainability goals.

Through this participation, Telkomsigma is committed to continue to provide transparent, accurate, and environmentally conscious operational data, while ensuring that all business operations run efficiently without overlooking its responsibility towards environmental sustainability and the local community.
